Camp Nat Koplar (Wohl Bldg)
Camp Essman Katan (Fox Bldg)
3 yrs - Pre-K
These two camps provide the younger camper with a wonderful first camp experience. Available either as a half day or full day, campers will participate in art, nature, music, storytelling, swimming, daily Ruach and weekly Oneg Shabbat. Counselors are mature, experienced educators with day camp experience and emphasize Jewish values through fun, child-centered themes. Full day campers spend afternoons indoors. Also, for campers participating in the half day program, lunch can be purchased ($50/session) and swim lessons are offered after lunch through the aquatics department (see aquatics section). Campers must be potty-trained.

Camp Essman Gadol (Fox Bldg)
K-3rd grade
Camp Essman Gadol offers a variety of activities including nature, sport, music, drama and art. Each week Jewish values are taught through our theme based curriculum. Snack is provided each morning, and once a week, campers get to wear their chef’s hat and make their own snack. Camp is located at the newly renovated Fox Building which includes our outdoor pool with aqua climbing wall, Jgame Zone, sport wall and outdoor fields.

Camp Kehillah Sidney R. Baer
(Wohl Bldg)
entering K-5th grade
The Sydney R. Baer Track offers campers a variety of activities including nature, sports, music, drama and art. Campers will grow vegetables in our Kehillah garden, experience Israel through our Israeli Schlichim or fish in a nearby pond, the opportunities are endless. Each week Jewish values are taught through our theme based curriculum. Snack is provided each morning, and once a week, the campers get to wear their chef’s hat and make their own snack.

Camp Kehillah Sports (Wohl Bldg)
entering K-5th grade
The Hyman Multin Sports Track gives campers the right balance of professional sport instruction along with recreational games in a variety of sports. Each day is filled with individual and team sports including baseball, soccer, basketball, flag football, lacrosse, floor hockey, and tennis. Groups rotate throughout the morning to different stations where fundamentals and skills are developed through instruction given by our sports camp coordinators and counselors.

Campers also get the opportunity to participate in recreational games including ga-ga, hit the pin, mat ball, kickball, capture the flag, wall ball, and all-camp favorites like tennis baseball and wiffle mania.

Also there will be weekly tennis instruction and on July
7–11, former professional soccer player Dan O’Keefe will be onsite to run a special mini-camp just for J campers participating in both the sports track.

Gymnastics Camp
entering 1st-5th grade
From the balance beam and vault to the uneven bars and floor exercise, the J gymnastics camp provides participants exposure to all the gymnastics skills. Campers are placed in gymnastic level groups to accommodate each child’s ability and progress. Also, campers will experience dance and cheerleading along with the traditional camp events. such morning flagpole, field trips, theme days, Friday Shabbat and all camp events. At the end of each session, campers will perform their routines for parents, family, and friends.

Lights, Camera, Action: Filmmaking
(Fox Bldg)
entering 3rd-9th grade
Have you ever wanted to make a movie or star in your own film? Campers will work on 2 short films, giving them an opportunity to work both in front of and behind the camera. Campers will work together to write, direct and film their own independent short films. Films will be presented to fellow campers, parents, and friends in a special screening!

Ben A'Kiba Teen Mitzvah Camp
(Wohl Bldg)
entering 6th-9th grade
Ideal for teens entering 6th through 9th grade, this camp gives young adults the opportunity to develop leadership skills while participating in community service and fun activities throughout the whole summer. New this year will be a Chugim track in which campers will be able to choose and focus on activities including sports, swimming, nature, Israeli culture, and arts & crafts. The American Red Cross First Aid certification and the guard start program will also be offered to the campers.

Field trips have also been scheduled and some include,  Six Flags, Upper Limits Rock Climbing, Johnson Shut-Ins and more!

*Teen Campers will have the option of spending two nights at Camp Sabra, the JCC’s residential camp in the Lake of the Ozarks. The optional two-night stays are scheduled June 24-26 and July 22-24. There is an additional fee of $85/per camper for this overnight experience.

C.I.T. (Counselor in Training) (Wohl Bldg)
entering 10th grade
The Counselor in Training (CIT) program gives young adults the opportunity to learn and develop leadership skills to become a great camp counselor. The program includes team building activities, CPR, First Aid Certification, community service as well as hands-on camp experiences where CIT’s will be paired with camp directors and assist with a camper group. The program is free, however participants must commit to at least one 3 week session and submit a J Day Camp application.
