Youth Fitness Orientation
THIS IS A MANDATORY CLASS FOR ALL 12-16 YEAR OLDS
WHO WANT TO WORK OUT IN THE FITNESS CENTERS
This two-hour course, taught by a nationally certified personal trainer will
teach youth how to safely and effectively use the
cardiovascular and strength equipment. After
completing the course successfully, participants will receive a sticker on their
membership card that will allow them use of the fitness centers. Participants will learn:
- Risks and benefits of resistance training
- How to develop a safe and effective resistance training program
- Guidelines for using the free weights and weight machines
- How to do basic exercises
- Rules of the Fitness Center
