Childbirth Preparation with a Jewish Twist
The JCC’s Helene Mirowitz Department of Jewish Community Life is excited to offer a new course for expecting Jewish parents here in St. Louis entitled LaMazel Tov! Childbirth Preparation with a Jewish Twist. Sandy Brooks RN, expert and well-known Lamaze teacher in the St. Louis Area, will be facilitating this four week class. It offers parents-to-be a traditional prepared childbirth classes plus a spiritual, ritual and emotional support network for welcoming a Jewish child into the community.
Couples will learn about Brit Milah (ritual circumcision), baby naming ceremonies and gain the opportunity to meet other expecting Jewish couples.
