Jewish Book Festival FAQs
How do I purchase tickets?Festival tickets may be purchased at the Cashier's Windows of both the Carlyn H. Wohl Building in Creve Coeur and the Marilyn Fox Building in Chesterfield. They may also be purchased in the Cultural Arts Department at the Wohl Building, charged by phone at 314-442-3299, or by mail. Mail order forms will be included in the Festival Brochure, available at the end of September*.
Is there a limit on series tickets available to the public?If necessary, we have had to put a limit on series tickets which were made available to the general public. It is best to purchase your series tickets as soon as they become available in order to guarantee yourself a ticket to all speakers.
How do I know what authors will be presenting throughout the festival?Brochures will be published when the all authors are finalized and will be available approxamately 4-6 weeks prior to the beginning of the festival. You can also check the JCC website for inforamtion regarding authors as well as some local businesses which assist in sponsoring the event.
Is there enough parking at the JCC building?
The JCC's north parking lot (next to the JCC's outdoor pool) is utilized when programs are anticpated to draw crowds that will fill the lot immediately in front of the building. We will provide shuttle transportation to and from the front of the building.
When will shuttle service be available?A shuttle bus will run from the pool parking lot to the front door of the Wohl building a half-hour before and after each author program.
I still want an autographed book, but I can't attend, what can I do?You can still get an autographed book! If you are unable to attend an author program, books may be purchased in advance and can be signed by the author at the time of the program. To arrange for advance purchases, call 314-442-3299.
Is babysitting service available?Charge: $3 per hour/per child Hours: Mon.- Fri. 10:00 am-3:00 pm. For reservations call, 314-442-3168.
How about the JBF Authors Alley Bookstore?Visit the JBF Authors Alley Bookstore located just off the JCC lobby. Pick up the books you'll want to have autographed by our author-speakers and lots more! In addition to a large selection of titles, you'll find an outstanding array of toys, games, and gift items for everybody on your holiday list. Our bookstore also contains a gift boutique area with vendors and craftspeople featuring Israeli and Judaic gift items.
