Golf Tournament

24th Annual JCC Golf Tournament
at Meadowbrook Country Club

Monday, June 16, 2008

The JCC 24th Annual Golf Tournament was held on Monday, June 16, 2008 at Meadowbrook Country Club. A sold out field enjoyed beautiful weather and a great day of golf. The JCC appreciates the 11 years of support from title sponsor, Pepsi, and was pleased to welcome first time title sponsor Missouri Professionals Mutual to the team.

The day-long extravaganza included morning and afternoon flights, plus a hearty breakfast, lunch and a sumptuous dinner and dessert buffet for players, sponsors and friends. A variety of contests made play challenging and fun in this first class event, and each player left with an appreciation gift bag that included a Callaway gift card. The financial support from the Golf Tournament enables the JCC to continue providing services for those in need in our community.

The JCC receives wonderful support and generosity in regards to our Annual Golf Tournament.  Played annually since 1984, the golf tournament is alternated between Meadowbrook Country Club and Westwood Country Club in St. Louis County.

Proceeds from this event assist the JCC Scholarship Program in helping seniors, children and those with physical/developmental disabilities in attending and partaking in important JCC programming.  JCC members, guests and the community at large are grateful and deeply appreciative of the contributions made by all those involved in this tournament.

Attending Camp Hawthorn (now Camp Sabra) is one of my fondest childhood memories. It shaped who I am today. I learned how to get along with others, never give up, be responsible and embrace my Jewish identity. I loved it so much I vowed to send my kids someday.
