Youth Basketball

Mac & Jeanette Brown Youth Basketball
Players can sign up as teams or as individuals in grades 1-8.  Teams will practice at their home court preference, either the Wohl Building in Creve Coeur or Fox Building in Chesterfield. Practices are held throughout the week and games will occur at both buildings on Saturday or Sunday.

This program will provide each participant the opportunity to enhance his/her basketball skills while competing in a fun competitive atmosphere.  Practice times will be once during the week and once on the weekends for grades 1-8.  Weeknight practices will continue once games start and will run through the duration of the program.

  • All players will receive an authentic NBA or WNBA team jersey
  • League divisions will be created by the JCC basketball committee and be based on strength or teams and team availability, not necessarily by grade only
  • Separate boys and girls divisions will be created starting with grade 2 (based on enrollment). K and 1st grade are coed,
  • $10 late fee will be assessed on all applications received after November 8
  • After November 8, home-court preference and teammate requests may not be honored

I worked out at the J for over 14 years using the same elliptical machine over and over. Then a friend of mine with cancer told me to get healthy and live every day to the fullest. I started working with one of the JCC’s certified personal trainers and started strength training and running and I’ve lost 20 pounds and have never felt better.
