The Secret Garden

Everyone will love this upbeat, musical adaptation of the Frances Hodgson Burnett classic. Mary Lennox is sent to live in England after her parents die in India, but Misselthwaite Manor turns out to be a gloomy fortress. Her uncle is rarely home and his young son, Colin, never leaves his room, convinced he's an incurable invalid. Mary discovers a strange walled garden that has been locked up for years. With the gardener's apprentice, Dickon, Mary coaxes the garden back to life. The garden seems to have a wonderful, magical effect on all who come into it, allowing Mary to help restore Colin to health and reunite him with his father. Adapted from the novel by Frances Hodgson Burnett and presented by Special Arrangement with Pioneer Drama Services, Inc.

Attending Camp Hawthorn (now Camp Sabra) is one of my fondest childhood memories. It shaped who I am today. I learned how to get along with others, never give up, be responsible and embrace my Jewish identity. I loved it so much I vowed to send my kids someday.
