The Tale of the Allergist's Wife
by Charles Busch

May 14 - June 1

Marjorie Taub, a middle-aged Upper West Side Doctor’s wife, is devoted to mornings at the Whitney, afternoons at MOMA and evenings at BAM.  But Marjorie is running on emotional empty.  Her window of artistic possibilities has closed.  Plunged into a mid-life crisis of Medea-like proportions, she is shaken out of her lethargy by the reappearance of a fascinating - and mysterious childhood friend.

Busch gives us a window-rattling comedy of midlife malaise. He makes mirth out of misery with this intelligently funny and satirically written modern day parable – full of sound and fury - signifying a lot of hearty laughing.

Without the J, our lives would be completely different. It is a complement and supplement to our family.
