Aleph Bet of Marriage

This program is designed to support and encourage the development of skills couples will need to build their marriage on for a solid foundation. Facilitated by a trained social worker, workshop topics include: individual and couple expectations for marriage, the art of negotiation in the marital relationship, learning to consider differing perspectives within a loving and supportive environment, how to fight fairly, finding positive ways to achieve a win/win resolution and building a Jewish home together.

The Aleph Bet of Marriage program was originally created by Union for Reform Judaism’s Department of Jewish Family Concerns and will be adapted with permission for community wide participation. Interfaith couples also welcome. Course also based on University of Judaism’s “Making Marriage Work.” Cosponsored by Jewish Family and Children’s Services.
