• 77,000 square feet of more efficient and functional space, including a fitness center enlarged to 12,224 square feet.
• The new jGameZone – an interactive fitness area that creatively blends exercise and entertainment for children and adults.
• New exercise equipment and amenities such as flat screen TVs and private monitors for individuals using cardiovascular equipment.
• Studios for spinning, yoga, Pilates, functional training and circuit training; spas with private massage rooms; and interactive fitness areas for children.
• Locker upgrades with new steam rooms, saunas, whirlpools and family changing areas.
• A reconfigured outdoor recreation pool to accommodate lap swimmers, water volleyball, basketball and the St. Louis area’s first pool climbing wall.
• Tripling the size of child care accommodations.
• Introducing a snack bar.

fitness and wellness programs as well as cultural, educational and
family programs.
• A state-of-the art, 16,126-square-foot fitness center.
• New exercise equipment and amenities such as flat screen TVs and
private monitors for individuals using cardiovascular equipment.
• Studios for spinning, yoga, Pilates, functional training and circuit
training; spas with private massage rooms; and interactive fitness
areas for children.
• Locker upgrades with new steam rooms, saunas, whirlpools and family changing areas.
• A new indoor aquatics center with lap swimming, warm water classes and a youth recreation pool.
• A new two-court gymnasium complete with an elevated track, upgraded
racquetball and squash courts, and improved softball fields.
• Creating the new Jewish Learning Center (Beit Midrash) and improving the J Café.
• Building a new 300- to 400-seat performance center and expanding the Studio Black Box Theatre from 99 to 125 seats.
• Adding global reach, with lectures from leaders and cultural
programs delivered via satellite in interactive programs.
• Wi-Fi service will be available campus-wide for anytime access to the
World Wide Web.
• Creating a centralized early childhood center with expanded
classrooms and a parenting center with increased programming for
parents with young children.
• Expanding and renovating adult day services areas.
Camp SabraLake of the OzarksOngoing improvements at the 950-acre camp include a new swimming pool
and upgraded accommodations for visiting staff. Camp Sabra serves more
than 500 campers each summer.
Attending Camp Hawthorn (now Camp Sabra) is one of my fondest childhood memories. It shaped who I am today. I learned how to get along with others, never give up, be responsible and embrace my Jewish identity. I loved it so much I vowed to send my kids someday.
