Aquatic/Water Fitness

If you're looking for alternative ways to get a great workout, try our water exercise classes. We offer several different types of water fitness classes from beginners to regulars and various intensity levels. We also offer classes at both our Chesterfield and Creve Coeur locations. Class descriptions are below. All classes are for adults 18 and older, unless specified. Times and prices (where applicable) appear on the schedules upon download. Classes are free for JPlus members.

Class Descriptions...

Aqua Cardio Conditioning
This is a moderate cardiovascular workout in the shallow water designed to tone the body, promote flexibility and strength and includes an aerobics portion. (members only)

Aqua Energized
This moderate shallow water workout is designed to tone the body and promoted flexibility and strength. Also includes an aerobic portion. (members only)

Aqua Mix to the Max
This is an excellent cardiovascular workout promoting strength, toning and flexibility. Participants will utilize different resistance equipment as well as explore different exersices in deep and shallow water.

Arthritis Foundation Warm Water Exercise
This class uses a gentle range of motion movements and strength conditioning movements. Multiple Sclerosis Conditioning A fun and beneficial water exercise class for individuals with MS. Sanctioned by the MS Society.

Athlete Aqua Conditioning
This is an excellent water conditioning program for athletes to increase strength, stamina and flexibility.

Cardio Aqua Firming
A high intensity shallow water workout designed to tone the body, promoted flexibility and strength. (members only)

Deep Water Calisthenics
Aerobic exercises in deep water designed for all levels of fitness. Participants need not be proficient swimmers, but should be comfortable in the water. A flotation device may be used. Perfect for those that are rehabbing from a prior sports injury.

Warm Water Exercise
This class uses a gentle range of motion movements and strength conditioning movements.

Wet Sweat
Intense cardiovascular water workout using both deep and shallow water. (members only)

Group Exercise Classes are included as part of your J membership. Members find these classes to not only be a great workout but also a support network!
