Associate Professor of Medicine and Occupational Therapy

Director, Long Term Care Research Consortium

Research Director, Jewish Center for the Aged

Dr. Binder provides medical care to older adults in both the long-term care and outpatient settings. Dr. Binder also sees patients in the Older Adult Assessment program located at the Washington university Center for Advanced Medicine. This clinic serves frail older adults that may have difficulty with memory, dementia, incontinence, medication issues, falls, nutrition problems or depression. She is an attending physician at Barnes-Jewish Hospital and is an active participant in the training of health professionals at Washington University School of Medicine.

Frankenstein. Frankenstein, who recently authored the top-selling book, “Reading Together: Everything You Need to Know to Raise a Child Who Loves a Read” will share important tips with parents…and grandparents. Attend and get signed copies of her book, enjoy a dessert reception and a tour of the new facility.

The event is co-sponsored by The PJ Library, Saul Brodsky Jewish Community Library, Ready Readers and the St. Louis Jewish Book Festival.

An Evening with the Goldbergs

Join the musical duo of Marcia and Warren Goldberg for a delightful evening of conversation and music.  St. Louis native, Marcia Goldberg will speak about her life in the world of musical entertainment which includes singing in Gaslight Square, the Playboy Club and on cruise ships, as well as living in Israel.  She will sing a couple of tunes including the one Marvin Hamlisch wrote exclusively for her!  Warren Goldberg, a member of the St. Louis Symphony, will bring his 300+ year old bass and play a couple of tunes.  He will recount the story of his life in music that brought him to his symphony career.  Spend the evening with this delightful and engaging couple.  Price includes coffee and dessert.  $10 per person.  Contact Susan Kaplansky 314-442-3148 or skaplansky@jccstl.org
